The Lewes Music Group, set up as the Lewes Youth Band in August 2019, is not for profit community interest company with the aim to provide versatile, accessible, high quality and educational concerts to the areas of Lewes, East Sussex, West Sussex and the wider community. 

The LMG enables young and talented players to perform, arrange and compose in a safe, professional environment whilst allowing the community to have access to high quality music. We also engage in the local community by performing at charity events, care homes, hospices and hospitals.  

Most players involved in the organisation are musicians aged 18-30 and have attended institutions such as The Royal College of Music, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and The Royal Academy of Music amongst others. 

As a CIC we are passionate about ensuring that our concerts are accessible for everybody. We also aim to ensure that the Lewes Music Group provides a safe learning and development opportunity for all the musicians to further their careers.
